my long nails have gone.how anyone can stand having them intrigues me.i painted them a pink lavender colour and they havent yet chipped.
hana needs new warm clothes.i want to knit for her but wool really annoys her so i may have to mix cotton with angora or mohair silk.would that work?
i gave over my book project on friday. i left the cover until the day before.never judge a book by its cover.i hope people wont judge mine. the cover is quite different to the rest.
i received a huge supply of heavenly incense today.stemming from the one packet of premium sandlawood koichi bought from sf.stupidly i ordered sandalwood and astral sandal but not premium which turns out to be premium so i will make another order.i have though, a really nice smelling room. yesterday i left the house in such a hurry i forgot my key. i had to get in through the bathroom window (after i removed it with the lady down the roads screwdriver).i have a black tiedyed leg now.it remind me of these. i have to fix the window too.arnica aint gonna do it.
tonight hana and i went to a fleamarket at claska. the stalls are few but interesting and i have always found good things.tonight a bought a pair of knitted pants from the same girl i bought my purple shoes from last time.these pants are a little itchy but i can see them as part of my uniform this winter. the moss stitch detail is beautiful.mum would love them.
hana got a baby hotwater bottle.she is asleep with it now.
i went to omotesando the other night with hana and returned at peak train time (i think). i will never do that again.i got off and people must have thought i was a crazy woman mumbling to myself and shaking my head.i was standing there thinking surely nobody else will get on and at least 7 more people did.it was awful.hana was in the pram thank goodness, she was kind of sheltered.
im going to bed with mario.i swear its giving me rsi playing ds lying down but i love it.if i had a bedlamp maybe id read.but i dont and i love mario.and i just opened level 7.i even do google searches on hints.i need a conversation with sindri.
mikan man.came to visit last night when i was working way past my bedtime.
homemade chocolate and hazelnut biscotti.possibly teeth breaking.easy and fun to make.the mixture is first cooked as a log for 15minutes and then cooled, sliced and put back in the oven at a lower temperature for 25 minutes.maybe i put them in for a little long.hearing hana first thing in the morning asking for biscotti is pretty cute.the recipe came from moosewood lowfat favourites, read more about it
it was delicious but really i need to stop going there for a while.they give us free cake too.it is really too good to be so close to where i live.i got dressed maybe 3 times this morning and nothing felt comfortable.nothing pretty did anyway, just the clothes that make me look like a labourer, and feel like one.
ok melinda.no more sweets.good thing a have a suitcase of san francisco rainbow food coming soon..my list was 3 pages.hopefully if he delivers i will be making some heat bags and putting my patchouli leaf to some smelly concotions soon.i cant wait to finish this book.i want to knit.i want to go on an aeroplane.unfortunately i cannot knit on an aeroplane.
this weekend hana and i went to 2 fleamarkets.from one i got some navy blue clothes.and then todays surprise one (such good karma for riding far away to take hana to a toy shop) i found this huge kokeshi.i wanted to give it to manda but hana said it is the mother of her other.i also bought some rhubarb! actually grown in japan.hana helped me cut it and the apples.yum.the same woman had those sweet little fruits in lanterns that farmer ben gave me in berkley.
the other day a typhoon knocked over a huge tree in front of our bedroom window.the noise was startling.like lightning.but theroots were so short.which is why it probably fell over.probably the same grubs that have been eating all the roots of everything in my pots :-(
i didnt buy the necklace.im saving.
i spent saturday and night here by myself.did little drawing but lots of bike riding and
such a shame they dont let children in there.i nearly didnt visit them because of it.but i did, and their crepes are so fantastic i went back sunday for the the sweet version. broke the local convenience store copy machine by shoving acetate into it.escaped because i was too scared to face the consequences.not my convenience store anymore.found a very cooperative copier a little far away but a nice ride that takes me through an area i dont normally go.
also bought a branch of wattle.very smelly one, house really smells like mimosa how nice.washed the floors and realised how filthy they are.enjoyed picking my little one up from the station and the big leap into my arms.
new crayons.totally changed the direction of the book i am working on.frequenting the art shop much more than the worktable.procrastination. leaving everything to the absolute last minute. but may have just found the right way.hana drawing such beautiful potato people.
